Easy Easter Arrangement
Tomorrow is Easter! Need a quick and pretty arrangement for the table or as a hostess gift? No prob. You can get most of these items at the grocery store. Just remember to Thrill, Fill and Spill!
1. Contain
Start with a vessel. Any container will do. You can use an old pot, vintage container or even a casserole dish. Just make sure you have enough plants to fill it. I used a shallow dish here and filled it with dirt.
2. Thrill!
You need some height, also known as the “thrill” of your arrangement. Start with the tallest flower or use sticks or blossoms. Pussy willows are also great this time of year. I used mini daffodils in the middle and later added the leftovers of my blossom branches.
3. Fill
Here's where you need to “fill” the space with the flowers of your choice. I used pansies which are great this time of year, especially in colder climates. They also come in tons of colours and sizes (more to come about my love of pansies).
4. Spill
Most thought-out arrangements have a “spill” component, meaning there is something flowing over the edge. I used a couple of sprigs of ivy here. The spill usually adds some nice greenery too.
5. Amp it up
If you want to add details, you can use seasonal objects. I had some moss from my garden that I used to cover the dirt. You can get great faux-moss at most dollar stores, Walmart and Michael’s which works well too.
Since this arrangement is for Easter, I was going to add some bunny toys but my container was too small so I put in some pastel Mini Eggs and voilà! Easy and affordable Easter arrangement!
Happy Easter weekend!
