Top 3 Make-Up Essentials For The Busy Women

We live in a busy time. Everyone is always super busy with work, kids, social commitments and so on. I don’t have much time to get ready in the morning nor do I have time to go shopping to try new make-up. So, I made a list for you of my favourite products to simplify your life. This is a barebones list of the basics, I’m not talking eyeshadows or contouring. I’m talking about those mornings when you sleep through your alarm or you decided you would rather have an extra 10 minutes of sleep in lieu of extravagant make-up.

1. Benefit Gimme Brow

While the 90’s are back with chokers and crop tops, overly plucked eyebrows are not part of that trend. If you grew up in the 90’s, odds are you over plucked those brows. My solution is adding Benefit Gimme Brow into your routine. It adds volume without looking like your drew on your brows. With a toddler and a newborn, most of the time I don’t even reach for another product. I just throw on some brows and head out the door. The best part is that you can head to your local Shoppers Drug Mart to pick it up since most Beauty Boutiques carry Benefit.

2. Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation

Full disclosure, I have awful skin. My entire life I have dealt with breakouts and rosacea. So, foundation has been apart of my life since I was a teen. I have tried every type of foundation, at every price point, but nothing compares to Giorgio Armani Silk Luminous Foundation. It’s in the name, it is silky. It’s lightweight but if you want more coverage, you can put on more and it does not look cakey or fake. I can’t lie, it’s pricy at $65 but if you are going to splurge on any make-up, foundation gets my vote. Most high end beauty suppliers carry Giorgio Armani beauty.

3. Pixi Large Lash Mascara

For all of those who experienced the joy of shopping at Target, you have seen the London Pixi brand before (a moment of silence for Target Canada, please). The good news is you can get the Pixi line at Shoppers Drug Mart now! I was overjoyed when I heard the news since I fell in love with the mascara Large Lash when Target was still around. My eyes are very sensitive, much like my skin, and the Pixi Large Lash did not irritate my eyes which is worth its weight in gold! Plus the mascara adds volume in the only area on your body that you want it.

While I want everyone to embrace their natural beauty, sometimes we need a little help to make us feel better. Especially on those mornings when we are busy and tired from the day or night before.
