Pillow Talk
Spring awakening
Whenever I’m feeling uninspired and tired of my house feeling like a bomb hit it, I switch up the pillows. It’s so simple, yet so refreshing. It changes the whole feel of my living room. It’s an easy fix to make me and my living room happy, even when the carpet is drowning in toys. However, my husband’s eye roll can be heard from across the country. I know, I know...not another pillow. But we have some tricks to make the pillow hoarding inexpensive without taking up a lot of space in storage.

1. Start with the pillows Get good pillows in a standard size like this one at Ikea or h&m_home. HomeSense and Winners also have great finds. Check for 20”x20” or 40”x40” so that it’s easy to find covers.
2. Zip it on and off
Now it’s time to cover up. Find the cushion cover that you speaks to you. Boho, Mod, Geo, Tropical, Art Deco, whatever you’re drawn to, just make sure it has a zipper or button closure so you can switch it up.
3. Find your colours
There are so many great colours out there, your possibilities are endless. You could change your pillows with the seasons if you wanted or stick with interesting neutrals and switch in a colour or two when you feel the need for a change.
4. Love your accent
Your pillows will be much more interesting if you add one or two that stand out, the exotic pillow that gets the pillow party started. The more pattern the better or try a different shape, texture or something playful and unexpected. Here are some we love right now

5. Pillow happiness
Now you can relax in your pillow heaven. Who are we kidding?! We don't have time to sit but at least they look pretty before the kids rip them off the couch to play.
And when you feel the need for a change, switch the covers, fold them up
and store them in a corner of a closet or basket until next season. Your partner won’t even know you have multiple pillows!
